Training and Education Committee
The Training and Education Committee, which
reports to the Research Management Committee, consists of
CAN members, industry representatives and a current CAN
trainees, and develops training programs to:
- recruit, train and retain outstanding researchers;
- promote a transdisciplinary and multi-sectoral
approach to research;
- encourage trainees to consider the economic, social and ethical implications of their work;
- provide the trainees with enhanced skills and experience that will increase their value to prospective employers.
TEC was discontinued in early 2011 in anticipation of CAN’s
closure in March 2012. TEC’s co-chairs will remain active
and small ad hoc committees will be struck as needed to
adjudicate competitions. A sincere thank you to all the
recent and past members of TEC who have shared their time
and expertise in an effort to train the next generation of
arthritis researchers.
