CAN Services

CAN provides services aimed at facilitating research, innovation, commercialization, and research knowledge communication. These services are available to CAN members, CAN partners and the broader arthritis stakeholder community. From the early development of a product to post marketing surveillance, we offer access to a wide-range of expert resources, with services that are personalized and bundled to meet the needs of our users.

The Canadian Arthritis Network has established expert Strategic Research Resources (SRRs) and Research Platforms to assist CAN investigators and commercial partners in R&D. Located in the laboratories of CAN investigators and associated Canadian organizations, these services offer pre-clinical models of arthritis, knowledge translation and exchange resources, and resources for training highly qualified personnel. These programs include:

Pre-Clinical Resources
Clinical Resources
Knowledge Translation and Exchange

For technologies with commercial potential, CAN maintains an R&D commercialization program that invests in and nurtures promising arthritis technologies. CAN will work with inventors at the very earliest stages of discovery or seasoned entrepreneurs, to evaluate and protect intellectual property and design business plans to get new ventures started. CAN has access to business development and intellectual property expertise and maintains an active technology portfolio for license and for partnering (click here for examples of CAN innovations).
