The Canadian Arthritis Network invites CAN/non-CAN investigators and trainees to submit abstracts relating to their arthritis research and development. All eligible abstracts will be presented as posters. Poster abstracts and plain language summaries must be submitted in English in an MS Word document by e-mail to Katy Miller at kmiller2@mtsinai.on.ca.
Please read the guidelines carefully before preparing your submission.

All abstracts and posters are to be submitted and presented in English |

Abstracts and plain language summaries must be received by October 7, 2010. Only the first 120 abstracts will be accepted. Review of Abstracts will take place beginning October 7 and e-mail notification will be sent to those accepted on October 15. |

The title of the abstract should be brief and should clearly indicate the nature of the research and refer to the content of the abstract. Do not use abbreviations in the title. Do not use all capital letters for the title. |

Provide the name(s) of the author(s) using their initials and surnames only, e.g., J. Martin, and if there is more than one author, please indicate the name of the author who will present the poster. Do not include university degrees or institutional appointments. |

Indicate the institutional affiliation followed by the city and province. Do not provide the complete address. |
| 6. |
The abstract must not exceed 350 words and must be submitted in the following format:
- Aim of the study (one sentence)
- Methods
- Results
- Conclusions

Please use Times New Roman font (12 point) only. |

The plain language non-confidential summary must not exceed one-page in length. This summary will be printed and attached to your poster board for distribution to Conference delegates. |

Poster presenters will be expected to be at their posters during both poster viewing and poster judging sessions. Dates and times are yet to be decided. Check the website again for regular updates. |

Posters must be 120 cm x 120 cm (approximately 48 inches x 48 inches). Please do not exceed these dimensions as each display panel accommodates two posters. |

Be sure to indicate which category your poster best fits into. The categories are:
- Clinical Health Services Research
- Inflammation and Immunology Research
- Biology of Joint Tissue Research
- Engineering and Imaging Research
- International Partnership Initiative
