Louise Crane
Consumer Advisory Council Aboriginal Representative
Louise Crane is a Metis of Cree heritage. She graduated from the University of Calgary in Anthropology and Heritage Resource Management after completing a B.A. in Nursing in her youth. Ms. Crane has been diagnosed with lupus and osteoarthritis and has been a spokesperson for Aboriginals with arthritis for many years. She is currently taking post graduate courses at Johns Hopkins University, Native American School of Health as well as operating a thriving business in community development management. She has also co-edited Primary Care in Aboriginal Health and many papers on chronic pain and the issues around policy at Health Canada.
