Terrence Montague, CD, MD, FRCPC
Dr. Montague is a thought leader in the
field of disease management. His particular focus has been
the development of the partnership-measurement model of
health management to improve care and outcomes for our aging
population with chronic disease. An experienced communicator,
his publications include popular textbooks such as: “Patients
First - Closing the Health Care Gap in Canada”; and
“Patient Health Management for Dummies”.
Currently, a principal in CareNet Corporation, a health
management consulting company, he was previously Professor
of Medicine at the Universities of Dalhousie, Alberta and
Montréal; Vice-President of Patient Health at Merck
Frosst Canada, Ltd.; and, is a veteran of military service
in Canada and overseas.
His ongoing professional relationships include: Board of
the Canadian Arthritis Network; Editorial Advisory Boards
of Healthcare Quarterly and HealthcarePapers; Fellow of
the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada;
the American Heart Association; the American College of
Cardiology; Member, the Royal Canadian Military Institute;
the Royal Canadian Regiment Association; and, the President's
Club of Saint Francis Xavier University.
