E. Sydney Jackson
Sydney Jackson was the inaugural chair of the Canadian Arthritis Network board of directors.
Born in Regina, Saskatchewan, Mr. Jackson
received his Bachelor of Commerce
degree from the University of Manitoba
in 1947. He holds the designation
of Fellow of the Society of Actuaries
(FSA) and of Fellow of the Canadian
Institute of Actuaries (FCIA).
From 1948 to 1987, Mr. Jackson worked at Manulife Financial, retiring as president and CEO. He remained on the board of directors, retiring as chairman.
Mr. Jackson has volunteered with The Arthritis Society for more than 25 years. He is a past chair of the Society’s Ontario division and past chair of the national division.
